The girls are almost 5 months old and how time flies.... They are growing and doing very well. Almost sitting up by themselves and talking (babbling) alot!!

4 Month Check Up

Friday the girls had their 4 month check up and shots. It breaks my heart every time they have to poke them :( but I guess it must be done! Here are there stats:

Miss Addison:
Height: 23 inches
Weight: 11 lbs 4 oz
Head: 15 1/2

Miss Emma:
Height: 23 1/2 inches
Weight: 11 lbs 6 oz
Head: 15 1/2

They are still low in their percentile, but they are growing everyday! They are now in size 2 diapers, and have moved on up to 3-6 month clothes. The Doctor said they are NOT teething, so that is a good thing but something to look forward to. As you can see in the pictures below, they tried their first rice cereal experience and did not know what to think about it. Addison did really good, but Miss Emma just was not having it. We will work on it everyday! I will post more pics soon, hope everyone has a great week. Hugs and Kisses...

It has taken a while to get some more pictures!! You would think I'd have more time!! HA! I have been sooooo busy with the girls. They are really getting big they are about 21 1/2" long and close to 12 lbs. Seems like they are getting ready to cut teeth also!

The girls are 7 weeks old last Friday. Addison had to go to Texas Childrens Hospital last Thursday as she had a high fever. They tested her for meningitis but she was negative. She had some sort of infection and they gave her antibiotics via IV in her little hand... Emmas is doing fine and I am glad she didn't catch whatever Addison had....

Well the day finally came, July 3rd, 2009. I have Emma Grace 5 lbs 4 oz born at 3:05 p.m. and Addison Leigh 5 lbs 1 oz. born at 3:06 p.m, they are absolutely gorgeous and healthy. I brought them home on July 8th after spending 6 days in Texas Women's Hospital. That is a great hospital and they took very good care of me and my daughters. They were both in the NIC unit for a while, Addision went to the regular nursery after about 7 hours and Emma left the NIC after about 12 hours. It is good to be back home, but it is a lot of work and not much sleep.

Over the last couple of weeks, alot has happened! The girls got weighed they were 32 weeks weighing in at 4 lbs 4 oz (Addison - Baby A) & 4 lbs 8 oz (Emma - Baby B), doing wonderful even though there room is getting limited by the day. I got put on a home contraction monitor because I kept having contractions, so now I monitor twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening.

Last week I was having contractions every 8 minuets, so got sent to Labor and Delivery and ended staying in the hospital for 3 days! It was no fun, ill tell you that much, they had me on a contraction monitor almost the while time along with heart monitors for the babies. The Turbuline they were giving me to stop the contractions made me really sick so I had another medicine for that, along with an IV, antibiotics for an infection, steroid shots (OMG those things HURT), and a Turbuline pump in my leg. It gives me a shot of low dose medication every hour to keep my uterus relaxed and not contracting. Its not bad just a pain!!!

The Doctor has scheduled my c section for July 9, 2009 at 6:30 am at Texas Women's. I will be pretty groggy and I'm sure will be out of it most of the day Thurs, so if you would like to come up and visit me please come Fri, Sat or Sun.

I cant believe I only have 3 more doctors appointments! As much as I will miss being pregnant, I cant wait to be a mom! I want to than everyone for all of their love and support!

I did get to take maternity pictures this weekend and as soon as I get them all uploaded I will post them, here are a few from Sammy's phone...I have no clue why they are posted on the very top...

New Numbers & New Problems

Well the girls are getting big, they got weighed about 2 weeks ago and Addison weighs 2 lbs 12 oz and Emma weighs 2 lbs 6 oz. They are bigger now and will get weighed in 2 more weeks, well a week and a half...Everything is looking good cervix is still closed but new problems have occurred...carpal tunnel syndrome, Sciatica, pelvic pressure, and now another UTI. I started having contractions Thurs night and the doc sent me to have them monitored. Well while I was there she did an fFN test to check to see if I would have these girls in the next two weeks...well it came back negative and we found out I have a UTI and that was causing contractions. Well I am on meds again and now I cant walk because my right side is killing me! This sciatica sucks...it really does...I am hanging out in bed or on the couch, so if you get board call or email me...I would love to hear from you!!! I hope everyone is having a great day! The belly pics below are from last week...I was almost 29 weeks...big belly!!!

Quick Doc Update

OMG, I am already going NUTS...so let me give you the update on how the Doc appt went...VERY GOOD!!! The girls are getting big, Addison (Baby A) weighs 2 lbs 3 oz and Emma Grace weighs 2 lbs, my cervix is 5.3 cm which is great. The pelvic pressure is getting worse by the day!

Later today I will post another blog on the baby shower, it went wonderful! I wanted to thank everyone for everything!!! Also, Sam took some pictures and I will upload them too! I hope everyone has a blessed day!!!

Doc Appt Quick Update

Well everything looks good, but just to be safe Friday April 24, 2009 will be my last day of work for a while! :( While I am sad, I am also happy because I do not want any complications. Bed Rest here I come...I think I will have to put Dickie on it also! He wont mind hes such a good boy!

I am really starting to get uncomfortable! I don't want to complain...

Sam took some pics of my belly so I will post them tonight when I get home.

24 Weeks & Catch Up

Hello all...I am feeling much better after spending last weekend,yes the day my shower was scheduled for in the hospital!!! I got some sort of stomach virus and I could not keep anything down and I become very dehydrated which made me start having contractions, and not to mention I had a low grade fever so they were worried that I was getting an infections. AHHHHHHHHHH, I was so scared and tired! Well they started the IV to get me hydrated,put the contraction monitors on me,gave me some antibiotics and some turbuline medication and waited. Well after hours and hours of resting, hydrating,and monitoring things were looking up! Everything was looking much better and I got to finally go home, even though my shower go rescheduled for May 2, 2009.

So, I am 24 Weeks 2 Days and the babies are now viable out of my belly, even Thought I don't want them going anywhere for 10 - 12 more weeks! My goal is June 20th, If I go longer I will be very blessed and happy, and if not I know that the girls will be in good hands in the NICU. But with lots of prayers and faith, I will carry they until my goal!

Anyways, I am so sleepy, everyday is getting harder and harder so I am off to bed! Good nite to all, and I hope everyone has a wonderful week. I will post pics soon! Hugs and kisses to all of you!

Its Official...2 Girls...Addison Leigh & Emma Grace

Its Official...2 Girls...Addison Leigh & Emma Grace. Baby A (Addison) weighs 1 lb. 4 oz. and Baby B (Emma) weighs 1 lb. My girls are getting big and are right on target! I am 22 weeks 6 days today and the shower is scheduled for this weekend April 4th. The girls are great any Baby B is laying on top of Baby A, and both...yes both of their heads are on my right side, and they are vertical.

Otherwise my being sleepy all the time and not to mention starving constantly, I am as good as I am going to get for now. I will post some pics of the shower and such next week. I hope everyone has a blessed weekend! Hugs and kisses to all of you!

Hello everyone!!! I am so sorry for not posting in a while, there is really no new news to report at this time, besides the fact I am super exhausted! I guess my body is getting me ready for the twins. I was on bed rest last week, just to rest, nothing was wrong, I just needed rest! I am back at work now on a reduced work schedule, so I am only working 6 hours a day for now. I promise I will post pics of my belly of the last couple of weeks. The ultrasounds are not scanning very well, so I'm not sure how I am going to get them posted. MOM...I need your nerdy computer skills...LOL...I go to the doc on Friday, so I will have more to report then. I hope everyone is well and thank all of you for your thoughtful prayers. I love all of you.

Weekend and Dr. Visit

Well this weekend was pretty interesting. I almost fainted in Kroger! I thought I would be a big girl and go grocery shopping by myself, well I was dehydrated and hungry and I started seeing fuzzy dots, not a good thing. I sat down and the manager gave me a bottled water and a snack, I went home and laid down the rest of the day! It was a scary thing because I was by myself, but I am ok now.

So on to the doctor visit...Well lets just say, I got in TROUBLE the whole time! Every time I go they get your weight, well that was the first of many! I had gained to much weight in two weeks, so I need to keep eating just NOT eat whatever I want, which is pretty much what I have been doing for the last two weeks. I need to eat healthy, which is NO fun, but she said if I continue to eat "bad" I would have to see a nutritionist and they would put me on a very strict diet. So now I packed my lunch, and NO more eating out! :( She said I am supposed to gain around 2lbs a week, and I know many of you want to know how much I gained but its a little embarrassing...So I will keep ya wondering! The Doctor is making me go back next Friday the 13th, to check my weight and to check and see how much the babies have grown. They last time they were check was February 16th and baby A was 6oz. and baby B was 5oz. which is right on schedule. She also said my cervix is still closed and long......WHOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO...This is very exciting!!! The babies were so cute, moving around everywhere, and their heartbeats were good and strong. We know one of the babies is a girl for sure, but when she went to check the other baby "he" (or at least I think) was being very uncooperative so we could not find out fore sure what the sex of the baby was, now I have to wait until "he" decides to cooperate and hopefully next week, we will find out what "he" is. As I was telling the Dr. about my little incident at Kroger she first said, "Well why did you go to the grocery store by yourself? You are supposed to be taking it easy. Don't do that again!" Yes ma'am, I wont! Then she said, "How much and how often are you eating"...I said when I feel hungry, she said, "No, you need to eat 6 small meals a day, pretty much every 3 hours and you need to force yourself to drink, drink, drink. Lots of water! Over a gallon a day! OMG so yesterday I got in trouble and now NO more chicken fajita nachos from ninfas!(Man those thing were sooooooooo good)!

I will try and post pics when I get home. I want to thank everyone for all of their thoughts and prayers. I love all of you and I am so grateful to have each and everyone of you in my life. Hello...1st Post

Today is February 24, 2009, and I should have started this along time ago but sorry yall I have been so super sleepy. So this will be my first of many blogs and this will probably be a crazy one since first I have never blogged before and second I have to cover about 17 weeks.

Ok, lets see...besides the fact I cant sleep, which is really NOT cool, because yall know how much I love my sleep, I am making it everyday though! I just cant believe how big I have gotten in 17 weeks! I will post pics once I figure out how to. :) So far I have gained a total of 20 lbs. and I am not going to measure how much I have expanded in my waist! LOL This has been a pretty good pregnancy, a few scares but everything turned out to be ok. This is classified as a "High Risk Pregnancy" and I have to see a special doctor every two weeks to make sure my cervix is still closed and still long. I am seeing Dr. Joanie Hare, she is one of the doctors at Houston Perinatal Associates and she is wonderful, she is a very experienced doctor and I couldn't be happier that I am seeing her. At about 11.5 weeks I had to have a cerclage (http://www.webmd.com/baby/cervical-cerclage-to-prevent-preterm-delivery) I added this link just in case you wanted to know what it was. It was very painful for a couple of days but it was a much needed procedure. She put 3 stitches in me, OUCH!!! The doctor says I have a Bicornuate Uterus, which instead of a regular uterus I have a heart shaped one. Then I have a incompetent short cervix and because of the miscarriage in the last pregnancy and since I am having multiples the cerclage was very necessary. So I am very happy to announce I am 17 weeks 3 days, which is about 4 weeks past last pregnancy. The doc says when I'm around 20 weeks I will have to reduce the hours I work and hopefully I can work through the end of April maybe even the begging of May. I find out for sure what they are on March 2, I cant wait! We are planning to have the shower on April 4th, 2009 so if I do not have your email address please send it to me so that I can send you an invitation. You could only imagine how tired I am and let me just tell you everyday during my lunch break I go to the wellness room for an hour so I can nap! I am so lucky to have such a great job and wonderful co-workers. I am even luckier to have such a great support system! Ok, well that is all I will post for now I am already getting sleepy! (Yes I know, I just took a nap an hour ago)...I want to thank all of your for all of your love and support! Please keep us in your daily prayers.
